Happy (rainy, windy) Sunday! (at least here in Roseville, California!) . . . the perfect day to make a big pot of coffee and hunker down in the stamp room for some FUN!! And I had sooo much fun making my very first "Coffee Lovers Blog Hop" card! The theme this time (of course!) is the holidays . .. so my coffee cup (Tim Holtz die) has a vintage Santa (Cavalini Papers) peeking out the top of it. I found some perfect old "Cosmo Cricket" background paper, did some "Baked Brown Sugar" sponging . . . and voila! This is also my first holiday thank you card this Christmas . . . already needing some of those . . and for some Starbucks cards, no less!! So Grateful!  Be sure to check out the many submissions for this blog hop . .. . tons of adorable cards!!  http://wp.me/p5K3PQ-4w

Keepsake Christmas Cards with Graphic 45

Time for lots and lots of holiday project pictures!! I've been so busy "creating" the last week or so that I haven't had a chance to blog about my creations!

I was absolutely thrilled when my friend Terri asked me to create custom vintage-style Christmas cards for her grandkids. She's starting a new tradition whereby they'll each get a special  "keepsake" Christmas card each year . . . .what a marvelous idea!

Of course, I wanted to create these special cards with Graphic 45 products (and there are a few other vintage style products added, too!) . . . and was able to find "styles" I could use for both the boys and a 3-year old girl and twin 11-month old girls. I had a harder time with the "boy cards" 'cuz of course, with Graphic 45, I want to "fussy-up and bling" everything!! But I had so much fun creating these, with these special kiddos in mind!

Enjoy . . . and I hope I've inspired you to create some special cards yourself!

Handmade Holidays . . . so much fun!

Another annual "Handmade Holidays" is history . . and was a great success! Katrina and I offered the workshop on a Friday night and again on a Saturday this fall, and I know many of you would like to see some of the projects we did. I don't have pictures of all of them, but here are several! Hope those of you who weren't able to come, find some inspiration here for your holidays!

Welcome to Bella Cosa Vintage!

Welcome to my blog! I'm thrilled you're here, and hope that you become a regular visitor. I'll be blogging about papercrafting, all things vintage, life, art, dogs, happiness, living beyond oneself . . . .and anything else that pops in my mind.

Did you arrive here from my website, "Bella Cosa Vintage". I hope you enjoyed looking around at my products and creations. Bella Cosa was actually "born" in 2002, underwent a major transformation in about 2008, and is now "reborn" once again.

I would love to chat with you here on my blog. Please use the button to the right labeled "Follow by Email" to list your email address and be notified whenever I write a new post. I love to grow my circle of "vintage friends." I also hope you'll comment here as the mood strikes you, so this becomes a discussion, rather than a "speech". I'd love to know what you'd like to see here, if you have questions or comments. . . or just want to view and read "silently", I understand.

. . . .and so we begin! It seems appropriate to show you a picture today of one of my favorite card creations . . . a Christmas card (my favorite holiday!) made with Graphic 45 papers (my favorite papers!) and a genuine vintage button (vintage is my gig!) This is a card from my new line of cards and papercrafts called "Grammy's Buttons". Each item has a genuine vintage button on it . . . from my button treasure box I've been collecting for years.  I know from my past blog that many of you love seeing cards and other papercrafts that I've created, and that warms my heart. You'll see them here often!

It's hard to believe the season is upon us . . . seems like I just put away last year's decorations!
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? I'll be talking about Christmas a lot, for the next several weeks, and would love for you to share your "happy holidays" thoughts. Enjoy the card . . . and enjoy easing into a sometimes chaotic season with joy and calm . . . remember the "reason for the season!"
